Over the ocean (1999). Director: Jacob Goldwasser. A holocaust survivor family is visited by a friend from the concentration camp who lives in Canada. They face the dilemma of wherther to live in Israel or to leave Israel for an easier life abroad.

Avanti popolo (1986). Director: Raffi Bukai. A surrealistic tale of two Egyptian soldiers wandering hopelessly in the desert until they meet an Israeli patrol. As in all wars, it ends with death.

Under the Dommim tree (1995). Director: Eli Cohen. A group of teenagers who survived the Holocaust, in a boarding school in the early 50’s. they struggle with their painful memories . The place where they feel secure is under the Dommim tree.

Amazing grace (1993). Director: Amos Guttman. Men in their doomed search for love. Two gay men live in the same building but the threat of AIDS prevents them from following their desires.

Day after day / Yom Yom (1998, 109 min). Director: Amos Gitai. The relationships between Mosh, 40, and his parents, wife, mistress, doctor and his friends, a group of middle aged people in the port city of Haifa, searching for true meaning to their lives.
